ELKHART — Former Alexandria resident Trent L. Lowe, 68, Elkhart, died Jan. 13, 2007, at the Elkhart Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1938, in Guthrie, Okla., the son of Winifred and Myrtle (Shores) Lowe, and had also resided in Bristol. He was employed by the Alexandria Street Department and for 18 years as a machine operator for National Gypsum in Alexandria.
Trent enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with his grandchildren. He moved from Orestes to Elkhart in 1984 to be with his family. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his former wife, Nadine Dickson of Marion; a daughter, Celinda (John) Shafer of Elkhart; a son, Jack L. (Anita) Lowe of Elkhart; a stepdaughter, Chandra (Matthew) Shugart of Elkhart; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; mother, Myrtle Brenner of Elwood; a brother, Kenneth Lowe of Elwood; and a sister, Madge Thompson of Marion.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew Robert Lowe and Winifred Scott Lowe; his father, Winifred Scott Lowe II; and his stepfather, Jack Brenner.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place with burial of cremains at 1 p.m. Thursday at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria.
