Bev Barber passed away June 16, 2007. She was born in Ottawa, Canada on January 28, 1938. She was the baby sister to three siblings.
Bev came to the United States in January 1965, with four small children, to join her husband in California. That marriage was soon dissolved. Later Bev met and married Dean Barber.
Dean adopted Bev's children and they moved to Wyoming, where he was from. The family lived in Montana for a short time, where a son was born. It was at this time that Dean's three boys were also able to join the family. they then moved to Gillette, Jackson and finally Star Valley, where they made their home for the past 30 years.
Bev has made many lasting friendships. She enjoyed many things and simple things gave her a lot of pleasure. Tending to the hummingbird community that gathered at her home in Bedford was a favorite pass time.
Bev was an excellent cook and spent a lot of time cooking for hunting camps. She had a zest for life that drew people to her.
Bev fought a courageous battle against cancer for the past six years. She passed away at her home in Bedford with her husband at her side.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dean; children, Mike (Judy) Barber; Mark (Teia) Barber; Dallas Barber; Valerie (Marvin) Robertson; David (Tess) Barber; Scott (Karen) Barber; Karen (Russ) Scott; and Matt (Sherene) Barber; 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Thayne.
