Mr. Ahlstrom was born Ronald Edward Ahlstrom on May 31, 1935, in Edgar. He was a budget analyst for the State of Kansas Soil Conservation Office in Salina for many years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, he did tax returns.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of the home; two daughters, Rhonda Jean Martin of Jacksonville, Fla., and Diane Marie Blagg of Kansas City, Mo.; three special children, Sing Taponpanh and Pheng Taponpanh, both of Salina, and Jim Le of Emporia; eight grandchildren; and eight special grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
A vigil and rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
