Medina Co. Gazette - June 2, 1882: The sand and impressive ceremonies conducted by the Rev. E. S. Tompkins over the remains of Mrs. Ann Willey, wife of H. A. Willey, whose sudden death was announced on the morning of May 17th, were held at the family residence of Friday the 19th, at 10 a.m., attended by a large concourse of people, including many rlatives from a distance. Mrs. Eunice French, sister of the deceased, now at Holly Springs, Miss., was informed of the sad intelligence by wire, but was unable to be present. Of the noble traits, and character of the departed, I need not here speak, as they have long ago endeared to her a large circle of friends, who will ever cherish up in their memories the good deeds of their departed friend. The deceased was in her 64th year. A post mortem examination held by Drs. Young and Jones disclosed the fact that mrs. Willey's sudden death was the result of anuresim, casing the artery to burst near the heart.
