Mr. Waggoner was baptized into the Christian faith of Bethsaida Church on Jan. 22, 1891. He became a steadfast worker in and remained loyal to its teachings through out the remainder of his life, though not able to attend for the past few years because of ill health. He served as deacon of the church some 34 years and as treasurer for nearly as long.
No one could have a keener interest in the welfare of the church than Mr. Waggoner, and no one could be a more willing worker for its maintenance than he.
Today as relatives and friends review in their minds the beautiful life of the departed, they cannot fail to remember the peace and happiness promised the faithful and the honest characters such as he. (from a handwritten obituary)
