James F. Dvorak 73, a resident of this area since 1919, died this morning at Sheridan County Memorial hospital following an illness of several months.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Champion¹s, are incomplete pending the arrival of relatives.
Mr. Dvorak, who ranched about a mile west of Ranchester, was born March 30, 1887, in Chelsea, Ia. He married Edith Miller of Sheridan on April 11, 1940, in Casper and since 1952, the couple had lived on the Ranchester ranch.
In earlier years, he had been employed with local wholesale companies and the ice company and had also boxed under the name of Jim Dozark. He was a member of the Moose lodge and of the Sheridan County Farm Bureau.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, James F. Dvorak, Jr., and Billie of Ranchester, and his daughter, Kathleen Ann, a student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
Other survivors include two brothers, Frank of Austin, Minn., John of Seattle, Wash.; four sisters, Libby Dvorak, Chicago; Mrs. Roy Scheffel of London, Minn.; Mrs. Lillian Steffensen and Mrs. Elwin Sanborn, both of Austin. Three sisters preceded him in death.
