A member of Highland Fellowship Church, Elgin, Norma loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully. Her consistent testimony will be her legacy that will continue to inspire us all.
Norma is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles; four daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Backey of Elgin, Sandra (the late Larry) Kossack of Gilbert, AZ, Deborah Knight (William "Bill" Lessing) of West Dundee, and Karen "Karry" (Jerrie) Johnson of
Elgin; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Kossack of Gilbert, AZ, Ryan (Mollyanne) Kossack of Schaumburg, Jessica Backey (DJ) Penpek of McHenry, Timothy Knight of Elgin, Adam Johnson of Chicago, Jordan Backey, Benjamin Johnson, Jared Backey, and Stephen Knight all of Elgin; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Elijah, Hannah, and Jonah Kossack of Gilbert, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Margaret (Lewis) Williams of Seattle, WA; and four brothers, Clyde, Edward, Charles, and James Lewis, all of Omaha.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 9 at Highland Fellowship Church, Elgin. Burial will be private at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services in the church. Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of arrangements.
