BREMEN - Jim C. Farrer, 86, died Saturday, Aug. 23rd, in his residence. He was born on June 21, 1922, in Bremen, to the late Tom and Minnie (Stillson) Farrer.

On September 18, 1943, he married Pauline Hahn, who preceded him in death on March 6, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry.

He was a lifetime area resident, a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was two-time past commander of Bremen VFW and American Legion, Disabled American Veteran and Bremen Fire Department. Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Bonee of Bremen; sons, Kent (Barbara) Farrer of Wyatt and Randy (Rhea) Farrer of Cassopolis; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Tom, Dean and Pat, all of Bremen, and Don of Dunlap.

Services will be 11 a.m. today in Bremen Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services in Bremen Cemetery Chapel. Graveside military services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, to the Bremen VFW or to Hospice of Marshall County. Mishler Funeral
