Mrs. M. O. Nelson Answers Summons
Succumbs to Short Siege of Pneumonia
On Monday morning, the sad news was received that Mrs. Martin O. Nelson of the town of Nelson Park, had been called to her eternal reward, after an illness of only a few days. Pneumonia was given as the cause of death.
About two weeks ago, one of the daughters was taken sick. Only a week later, the mother, Mrs. Nelson fell a victim to the same disease. Another daughter, who came home to care for her mother and sister was also taken ill with the same malady. A nurse, Mrs. Niland of Warren, was then sent up by Dr. E. Bratrud, the attending physician. The daughters are improving gradually, but the mother, in spite of the best of care and the most skillful medical attention, could not withstand the ravages of the disease and passed away.
The deceased leaves to mourn her departure a grief stricken husband, four daughters, Emma, Lillie, and Mrs. Jonas Stromlund, of this place and Lydia, of Denver, Colorado. She was ever a good neighbor, a faithful wife and a fond and loving mother, and will leave a vacancy which will be keenly felt by all who knew her.
In behalf of the entire community, the Press extends to the sorrowing family the sincerest sympathy in this, their hour of affliction.
