MRS. ABIA J. HARRIS
Mrs. Abia J. Harris died at Hasting, Minnesota, February 15th 1880. She was the widow of Dr. Harris, one of the early settlers of Milan, Ohio.
I think Abiah died in Minnesota because she must've been living with her daughter, Sarah Amanda Harris Simmons, who lived in Hastings, MN. Abiah's husband Amos died in Milan in 1844.
*****
Per the 1889 Goodrich genealogy, Abiah was born in Massachusetts July 8, 1800, daughter of Zacheus and Amanda (Langdon) Goodrich.
And yes, she died in Minnesota (see also 1880 federal census mortality schedule) because two of her daughters (Sarah and Hannah) lived there in Hastings.
