Barbara was born March 21, 1931 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Claud Preston Ford and Sadie Mae Pearre Ford. She graduated from Chicora High School and was a retired Jewelry Manager with K-Mart. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant and a former member of Charleston Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter: Glenda A. Knight and her husband William of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one granddaughter: Ashley L. Knight of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two nieces: Toni Westbury and Wanda Benson, both of Charleston, SC; three nephews: Claud Wessinger, Milton Gambrill and Dale Jenkins, all of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by several great and great great nieces and nephews of Charleston, SC.
