Funeral services were Friday at Spry Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Elzie Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Athens City Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Lee Shockley, Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Reta Hastin, Athens; two sons, Billy Shockley, Grass Valley, CA, and Danny Shockley, Athens; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Norma Black, Athens.
