Bacyle taught for 39 years in the Mason County, WV school system. During this time he taught in 16 one room school houses and before his retirement taught at Roosevelt Elementary School. He had attended Salem College and Morris Harvey College. For many years he maintained an 80 acre farm. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and listened and watched on radio and television. In 1946, Bacyle bought the 80 acre farm from Clerc and Anna Sayre, they were cousins.
After a short illness, Bacyle, 78 years of age, died Monday morning, November 12, 1990 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV
