Rosella Woodtli Grandin 1889 – 1974
Mrs. Grandin was born Rosella Woodtli in Foster, Ohio on September 13, 1889. She spent her early life in Foster, attending grammar school there. She later attended Cincinnati Business College.
On July 4, 1909, she married Ralph P. Grandin from Maineville, Ohio and they spent their early married life in Foster and Kings Mills. In 1922, they moved to Dayton, where Mr. Grandin began his association with Canada Life Insurance Company. They were married for sixty-five years, living in Dayton until Mrs. Grandin's death. Mr. Grandin still resides at their home at 320 Colonial Lane.
While in Dayton, Mrs. Grandin was an active member of Grace Methodist Church. She was a member of the Gyrettes, and was an officer and worthy matron of the Easter Star to which she belonged for fifty-four years.
Mrs. Grandin is survived by one son, Dr. Woodtli Grandin; by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She had been ill since March, and died at the Bethany Lutheran Rest Home in Dayton.
