A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, in Macksburg Lutheran Church in Canby for Clarence D. "Bud" Shockley of Oregon City, who died Nov. 15 at age 86.
Clarence D. Shockley was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Nolan. He served as a heavy gunner in the South Pacific during World War II and was a timber faller for Crown Zellerbach. In 1949, he married MYRTLE CORK; she died in 1994.
Survivors include his daughters, Carol Foster, Sandra Shaver, Suesan Thompson, Sherri Kraxberger and Shelly Moore; son, Owen "Sonny"; brothers, Ray, Everett, Leroy, Larry, Harold and Melvin; sisters, Della Long, Donna Sawyer, Lela Miller and Dorothy Boadwine; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He stepson, Greg Cork, died earlier.
