Van Lear resident, Angie Lynn, 86, died Thursday January 25, in Highlands Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lynn was born March 14, 1903 in Johnson County, the daughter of Roe Webb and Martha Goble Webb. She was a member of the Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver "Red" Lynn, in 1981. Surviving are five sons, Oliver (Moonie) Jr. and James, both of Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, Charles, of Roanoke, Indiana, and John and Jack, both of Wabash, Indiana; five daughters, Lois Blair, of Van Lear, Jo Ann McGinnis and Betty Evans, both of Wabash, Mary O'Neal, of Everett, Washington, and Martha Whitzel, of Largo, Indiana; two sisters, Laura Belle Phelps, of Van Lear, and Fannie Webb, of Urbana, Ohio, and 31 grandchildren and 45 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 28, in Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Lowell Webb and Bobby Webb officiating. Burial was in Highlands Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
