Funeral service for Barbara Ann Dirrim will be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Chapel with Pastor George Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m.
Barbara died Thurs., Dec. 8, 2005, at Hillcrest Medical Center at the age of 72.
The daughter of Walter E. and Blanch M. (Sinclair) Greenway was born August 24, 1933, in Tulsa. She graduated from Central High School in 1951. On Nov. 4, 1951, Barbara married Harris "Dewey" Dirrim in Tulsa. Barbara was active in Camp Fire for many years as a Director. She was instrumental in starting Happy Lake Day Camp, and served as the Camp Director for 13 years. Barbara loved flowers, working with young people, and she was known as "Mamaw" to her grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Judy.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey of the home; daughter, Vicky Blacknall and husband, Charlie; sons: Randy Dirrim and wife, Darla, and David Dirrim and wife, Sarah; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, James Greenway and wife, Patty; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
