Elizabeth was born in Brooke County Virgina, the daughter of Anne (Alexander) and Abel Johnson.
Elizabeth, her sister Margaret and brothers Abel, Amos, Isaac, Joel, Joseph and William removed to Ohio before 1805. Elizabeth married William Meek in Paulding, Ohio in 1807.
Elizabeth was the mother of three daughters and six sons, Elizabeth (Alexander Wood) and Mary Ann (John Putnam), and Rachel Jane (Andrew Poe), Johnson, Robert, William, Isaiah, Benjamin and Joseph Meek.
Elizabeth and William removed to Michigan Territory in 1828 and founded Meeks Mills, known now as Constantine, Michigan.
