Lynn V. Lingle, 76, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Crystal Springs with burial in Crystal Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Lingle was a native and lifelong resident of Crystal Springs. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs and the Walter Hardee Sunday School Class. He retired from M, P, and L after 38 ½ years of service. Mr. Lingle retired from the Mississippi National Guard after 30 ½ years of duty. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Lingle was preceded in death by his parents, Vess and LaDelle Lingle; and his sisters, Carolyn Kennedy and Betty Touchstone.
Mr. Lingle is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Grantham Lingle; sons, Steve Lingle of Southaven, Mark Lingle and wife, Pam of Mandeville, LA and Carl Lingle and wife, Jennifer of Crystal Springs; and grandchildren, Wendy, Rebecca, Barrett, Will and Liz.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association-MS Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Dr., Suite H, Jackson, MS 39216; First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, Building Fund, PO Box 604, Crystal Springs, MS 39059; Hospice Ministries, Inc., 450 Town Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157.
