Bill Adams, farmer citizen of this county, was injured in the Utility Coal Mines at Martin, Floyd County, Saturday night, May 6th, and died early Sunday morning in a Martin hospital. His occupation had been coal mining for the past 16 years and the last year he spent working for the Utility Coal Co. He was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Adams and the late Douglas Adams of Irad. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Vivian Fannin Adams; a fifteen year old son, Elmer Clay; his mother and five sisters, Mrs. John Adams, Louisa, Mrs. Gernie Adams, Catlettsburg, KY, Mrs. Homer Campbell, Charleston, WV, Mrs. Peter Albertson, Chicago, IL, and Mrs. Harlan Wellman, Irad, KY; and two brothers Seymour Adams, Torchlight and Fred Adams of McDowell.
