James W. Harris, 77, of Mexico died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at Audrain County Medical Center.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born June 10, 1920 in Logansport, Ind., to Vernon and Ruth Ellsbery Harris.
He married Flora Mae Korbe on June 8, 1974, in Topeka, Kan., and she survives.
He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors also include two stepdaughters, Shiela Mettler of Cabot, Ark., and Karen Viergever of Morton, Ill.; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Memorials are suggested to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 280, 1509 Ashley St., Columbia, MO., 65201.
