Mrs. Jack C. Lewis, the former Ellender "Nannie" Greer, 83, a native of Robertson County, Texas and a resident of New Iberiam passed away at 2:10 p.m. Monday at Dauterive Hospital.
She had been residing in New Iberia with her niece, Frances Falgout and husband Richard for the past five years.
She was a retired nurse and worked at Park Place Hosptial in Port Arthur, Texas for twenty years. She loved cooking and was dedicated to her family. She was a dedicated country and western music fan.
Survivors include her four sisters, Alta Leona Lyons, Mildred Butaud, Minnie Rachel Weaver and Emily Irene Weaver; three brothers, George Gordon Greer, Samuel Stevens Greer and Daniel Frederick Greer and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Lewis; parents, Hatton Lee Greer Sr. and Anel Lucille Ellender Greer; two brothers, Hatton Lee Greer Jr. and David Lee Greer Sr. and two sisters, Anel Lucille Greer and Debbie Joyce Greer.
