He was born Aug. 4, 1942, in Carter County.
His wife, Florrine Paynter Carroll, preceded him in death.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. Burial will be in the Carroll Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today and until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
