She was youngest child of Ephraim & Martha Susan "Patsy" (Turner) Davis.

Mrs. Richard E. Mitchell, 66, died Sunday at her home at Goodhope. She had been ill several weeks after being stricken with paralysis. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Goodhope church with the Rev. Charley Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Goodhope cemetery. She was born Dora Isabel Davis August 27, 1874, in
Douglas County. At the age of 18 she united with the Christian church. She married Richard E. Mitchell November 18, 1896, and to them five children were born. A daughter preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lester Hagee of Maryville; three sons, Ezra of Goodhope, Harry of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Ellis of Davenport, Oklahoma; and a sister, Mary L.
