NORWELL Elizabeth Betty Bernadette (Guerin) Pratt, 75 years of age, passed away surrounded by her loving children on Friday, May 8, 2009, following a brief illness. She was born November 20, 1933 in Boston, the daughter of the late John J. Guerin and the late Nora (Lombard) Guerin of Ireland. She was married for over 21 years to her devoted husband, the late Edgar Samuel Pratt of Whitman. She was the sister of John Guerin of South Boston, Daniel Guerin of Malden and the late Mary Miller of Florida. She grew up in South Boston, graduated from Nazareth High School in 1951 and was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking and the Hickok Secretarial School of Boston. She was a former employee of the National Shawmut Bank. She settled in Norwell where she raised her family and resided for the past 49 years. She was employed by the North River Transportation Company as a Norwell school bus driver for over 23 years, where she proudly recognized many student's accomplishments from kindergarten through high school. She will be remembered foremost for her unconditional love for her family as well as the pride she had in each of their accomplishments and her ability to make each person feel special. She will be fondly remembered for her independent spirit and fierce loyalty to her heritage. She loved her home but relished any opportunity for adventure. Her legacy of love, laughter and devotion will be carried well into the future by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be lovingly missed by her daughter Cathy Hendry and her husband Donald of Rockland, her son Michael and his wife Jennifer of South Weymouth and her daughter Carol Lormer and husband James of Kingston.
