Born July 25, 1946 in Orange, Arnaud owned and operated a State Farm Insurance Agency in Conroe since 1985. Prior to that he was an educator, serving as an assistant principal at Bridge City High School. Before becoming an administrator he was a teacher and football coach.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and then earned a degree in education from Lamar University in Beaumont. He later earned a Masters Degree at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La.

Randy is survived by Carolyn, his loving wife of 41 years, a daughter Amy Arnaud Dishman (husband, Paul) and grand daughters Molly and Claire; a son Josh (wife Jennifer); parents James and Juanita Arnaud, brothers Keith of Katy and David of Nederland and sister Judy of Nederland.

Arnaud was a dedicated volunteer for the Houston Golf Association for 18 years where he donated countless hours to help the Shell Houston Open PGA TOUR event generated money for local charity. He received numerous honors from the organization including rookie of the year and member of the year. He also served on the organization's board of governors. He also served as media center chairman for 10 years where his outgoing personality made many friends among local and national media, plus numerous PGA TOUR players.

He was also a member of SASBA bowling association.

A single digit handicap golfer, Arnaud was a member of Bentwater Country Club and Conroe Country Club. He also bowled professionally. But holes-in-one on the golf course and 300 games on the bowling lanes were not Randy's main focus. Helping others, particularly young people, is where Arnaud directed both time and energy.

Upon moving to Conroe in June of 1985 Arnaud made it a point to become in local youth activities, helping to raise funds for numerous worthy causes. Over the years he administered dozens of charity golf tournaments, ranging from the Buckner School orphanage in Beuamont to an event benefiting widows and orphans of slain Department of Public Safety Troopers. Randy was heavily involved with the HGA Junior Golf Program and The First Tee of Houston/Redstone Chapter. He also donated his time to manage a summer Collegiate Golf Tournament for State Farm Insurance.
