Bobby was born August 17, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut, son of the late Robert Vincent Clough and Blanch Mary Sesko Clough. Bobby served in the United States Navy for 20 years and retired on 31 May 1984 as a Chief Boatswain's Mate (BMC) who had served in combat. On 6 Feb 1968, he earned the Bronze Star medal for bravery in saving his men while under heavy enemy fire. Bobby served three tours of duty in Vietnam operating a Navy river gun boat. After retiring from the Navy, Bobby owned and operated a business in Hanahan, SC.
Bobby married Altrude in 1976. He was a devoted and faithful husband 28 loving years. Bobby and Altrude have five children whom they loved with all of their heart and soul. Bobby was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife, Dorothy Altrude Clough, served missions for the Church in Texas, California, and at the Atlanta Temple.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth A. Kilpatrick of Tempe, AZ, Danny B. Kilpatrick of Meza, AZ, E. Lynn Kilpatrick of Ocala, FL, Joey M. Kilpatrick of Denver, CO; a daughter, Kathy L. Giles of Cayce, SC; a sister, Carolee Coleman, Boston, MA; 30 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
