Walter "Edwin" Acord, 80, of Good Manor Road, Lucasville, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on May 19, 1924 in Omega, Ohio, to the late Walter A. and Janie Cleo Reisinger Acord.
Surviving are two sons; one stepson; two grandsons; three great-grandsons; two step great grandchildren; and one brother.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Welby Acord and two sisters, Esther Pendleton and Marjorie Coakley.
He was a retired farmer and dairyman and a life long resident of the Wakefield community.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly with the Rev. Vicki Bays officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Piketon. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
