After her parents divorce she lived with her mother for a while in New Jersey where he attended school. In 1921 she moved with her mother and new stepfather, William J. Storie, to Osnabrock, North Dakota. Ann graduated from high school in 1929 and moved to Springfield, Illinois where she attended nursing school.
She later met and married Edward Harmon, an electrician from Chicago. He proceeded her in death. They had no children.
Her cremated remains were buried at her mother's grave.
