Obituary (Rice Lake Chronotype)
Funeral services for George A Manley, 85, a former Rice Lake engineer, were held at the Olson funeral home in Menomonie Monday with Rev. Weise of the Menomonie Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Teegarden cemetery at Menomonie.
Mr. Manley died at Menomonie in hospital last Thursday after a lingering illness.
He was a stationary engineer in Menomonie and Rice Lake during the lumbering day and for many years held that position with the old Hammond-Chandler Lumber Co. in Rice Lake. Surviving is his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Lela) Rogers of Racine, Mrs. Thomas (Zelda) Bye of Rice Lake, and Mrs. Alfonse Johnson of Haugen. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Cora Jackson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Nellie Buck of St. Louis, Mo.
