Death Claims Local Man
Carmel Murray Succumbs after Attack of Pneumonia
Carmel Murray, age 32, one of the most popular young men of Paintsville, died at his home on Euclid Avenue, Wednesday morning. Mr. Murray was stricken with pneumonia more than 2 weeks ago and died from complications arising from the disease. He was unconscious most of the time after first being stricken. His brother, Dr. Herschel Murray, of West Liberty, had been with him for several days and was present when
death came. Mr. Murray had many friends throughout the county, and his untimely death was a shock to his family and friends. Mr. Murray is survived by his wife, Christine Howes Murray, one brother, Dr. Herschel Murray, of West Liberty, KY; and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Murray, of Paintsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Mayo Memorial Church in charge of Dr. W. I. Canter, pastor. Burial will be made in the family lot in Mayo Cemetery.
