Mr. Marshall Perkins, one of our best and most prominent citizens, quietly passed away last Saturday evening at his home in Perkins. He was unconscious for several days and though his death was expected, it was a shock to his family and to the community at large. He was interred in Magnolia cemetery Sunday afternoon and the services were conducted by Rev. J. H. Oliver, of Augusta. He leaves a wife and several children besides a host of friends to mourn his death.
