Gerald was born on March 22, 1933 in Woodward, Iowa to Eldon Clifford and Rachel Mildred Burkhart Bice. He served with the United States Army. On August 24, 1953, Gerald married Virginia Ruth Knoll in Iowa and they later divorced. Gerald was formerly employed as a farmer.
He is survived by three children, Connie Love, Gerald Dean Bice and Dee Dee McCrory; one sister, Florence Sweeney; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
