VERMILION — David Ryan Kelm, 17, of Vermilion, was killed late Sunday night and three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Vermilion Township.

According to the State Highway Patrol Sandusky post, Kelm died of injuries sustained in the 10:36 p.m. collision on State Route 60 near Darrow Road.

Police said Allison Priess, 20, of Vermilion was driving her pick-up truck north on Route 60 when it collided with the rear end of a car driven by Brittany Fetter, 16, of Vermilion, which was stopped at Darrow Road.

The impact forced Fetter's car into the southbound lane where it collided with the car of Harrison Strickler, 19, of Vermilion, which was southbound on Route 60.

Kelm was a passenger in Fetter's car.

Police said Fetter was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain, along with Ali Cunningham, 18, of Vermilion, who was a passenger in the car driven by Strickler.

Strickler was flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo where he was treated and released.

Police said the accident is under investigation and that alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
