MORNING SUN Robert H. Delzell, 56, who farmed north of Morning Sun, succumbed to an apparent heart attack at Hot Springs, S.D., where he was vacationing, Sunday morning, July 18.
The son of Thomas W. and Nellie Holland Delzell, he was born Nov. 28, 1919, at Morning Sun. He married Marie M. Christner at Kahoka, Mo., Nov. 16, 1941.
He was a member of the United Methodist church and Lions club, and was a member of the board of directors of Indian Hills Country club.
Surviving: The wife: three sons, Paul, Clinton, Jerry, Wapello, and Raymond, Morning Sun; daughter, Diana Petrizzo, Hot Springs, S.D.; brother, Charles, Morning Sun; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Morning Sun United Methodist church, Rev. David Holmes; Elmwood cemetery.
