Mike was the brother of Debby Bane
I first met Mike when we were kids in school and we rode Mr.Campbell's bus. I was living in the old Sheldon House,(on West Mound, where the Old Cabin Gun Shop was/is), at the time.
He and sister Debby were living on West Mound, just a ways west of what was then the first Walmart.
We'd kept up some over the years, even dated the same girl, Lisa (not at the same time,tho 😎).
He was a most interesting fellow, as he was born without the "fear gene" in his DNA. I'll never forget one time when, Mike, my step-brother and a few friends were daring each other to swim across Spring River, just down the bluff from the Sheldon House, and back again. Mike was the only one brave enough to do it. (It has rained and tho not rapids, the river was going pretty good).
