Mrs. Geneva Cooper Kennedy, age 81, of Hoschton, GA and the Mt. Moriah Community passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by: husband, Byron Kennedy, parents, Cleve and Daisy Spain Cooper; and brothers, G. C. Cooper, Jr., Cecil Cooper, and Jimmy Cooper. She is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Linda Grace Kennedy Atkins and husband, Carl Atkins, Jr., Flowery Branch, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph Doyle Kennedy and Sandra Kennedy, Auburn, GA and Dennis Lane Kennedy and Deborah Kennedy, Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, David Carl Atkins, Flowery Branch, GA, Joseph Darrell Kennedy, Winder, GA, Randy Byron Kennedy, Mt. Airy, GA, Christopher Dale Kennedy, Mt. Airy, GA, Tracy Eric Kennedy, Winder, GA, Heather Renee Gerrin, Mt. Airy, GA, and Theresa Melinda Kennedy, Mt. Airy, GA; eleven great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ottis and Mary Cooper, California; sister-in-law, Kathryn Cooper, Chestnut Mountain, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Kennedy was born February 18, 1928 and was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Hoschton, GA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Rev. Barney Williams and Rev. Sammy Everett officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
