VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK

Dan Newcomb, cousin of Miss Kate Newcomb, died en route to the Alamosa hospital from La Jara Monday of a heart [attack]. He was stricken while at work Monday afternoon.

Mr. Newcomb was at one time manager of the Ute Theatre and has many friends in Saguache.

On Oct. 28, 1944 he married the former Mrs. Zoe Hazard and they have since lived in La Jara where he has been managing the La Jara Theatre for his brother, Ned, who is in California.

Mr. and Mrs. George Hazard went to Alamosa immediately Monday to be with Mr. Hazard's mother.

Ned Newcomb is on his way from California and will be here for the funeral which will be held in La Jara, Friday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church. Immediately after, the body will be shipped to Denver where burial will take place in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver."
