Ray Vern Kimbler

CAREY — Ray Vern Kimbler, 75, of Carey, OH, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 8:45 p.m. in Fairhaven Community.
He was born Thursday, November 22, 1934 in Paintsville, KY, son of the late Paris and Sophia (McCloud) Kimbler.
He married Betty L. King on February 15, 1958. She preceded him in death on November 11, 2009.
Surviving are his children: Vicky (Jan) Brown, Carey, Donald "Bubba" Kimbler, Sycamore, Kimberlee (Steven) Fredritz, Wharton, Barbara (Ronald) Uhls, Clayton, OH, Misty (Jayson) Walters, Findlay. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Camilla and Jenna Jesko, Tyler and Sarah McLaughlin, Matthew, Mary and Samuel Uhls, Brandon and Braxton Walters, Andrew Fredritz. One great-grandson, Corwin Barry. Also surviving are three sisters: Joyce Baldwin, Paintsville, KY, Esther Weiss, Nashville, TN, Judy (Gene) Gilbert, Marion, OH, two brothers: Bill Kimbler, Hardy, Arkansas, twin brother, Roy Kimbler, Paintsville, KY.
Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Kimbler, two grandsons, Jeremy Barry and Bailey Walters.
Ray worked as a laborer at National Electrical Carbon Corp. in Fostoria, retiring in 1998. He then worked at McDonald's in Carey. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of Carey First Free Will Baptist Church in Carey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. at STOMBAUGH-BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey.
Funeral Service will be held at Carey First Free Will Baptist Church, Carey, on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bill Mahan officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association in care of Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, OH 43316.
