Born May 26,1935, in Berkeley County, Wv. he was the son of the late Walter and Lucy Light Barrett.
He was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church, and retiredfrom the Bell Atlantic Company.
He was a veteran of the U.S.Army.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Edwards Barrett; two sons, Marvin Leroy Barrett,Jr. of Chamberburg,Pa.Darryl Lyn Barrett of Jones Spring; two daughters, Dianna Lynn Roseman of Hedgesville, and Kimberly Dawn Baker of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Newbraugh, of Hagerstown,Md.
He waspreceded in death by four brothers, William, Woodrow,Grantham, and Ralph Barrett; and two sisters, Kathryn Rogers and Mary Secrist.
