Robert was a well known aviator. He started as a barnstormer in Kansas. Then became President of Troy Flyers, Inc. during World War II. Under a civilian contract with the Navy, Troy Flyers trained RPI students in basic flight training to go on to become Navy pilots. Robert Reno was President of Strat, Inc. developing the Strat, an all purpose single engine, low wing plane. Robert was the holder of several patents of containerization aircraft.
