Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wyre, a Wichitan Since 1904 Passes in Hospital


Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Wyre, 89, of 704 Jackson, died in a local hospital Friday afternoon. She was born September 11, 1856, in Batavia, N. Y., and came to Wichita from Sioux City, la., in July of 1904. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church.


She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ida M. Wyre, 1725 North Market. She and her sister married brothers.


Funeral services will be conducted at the Downing mortuary at 2 p. m. Monday by Dr. Thomas Williams. Burial will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
