DARLINGTON, Wis. -- Rosemary Prine, 81, of Darlington, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Lafayette Manor, Darlington.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Darlington, with the Rev. Randy Budnar officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Darlington. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Erickson Funeral Home, Darlington, where there will be a prayer service at 4 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1928, in Shullsburg, daughter of Bernard and Mary (Miller) Gleason. She attended Number Nine Country School in rural Shullsburg and later attended St. Matthew's Catholic School in Shullsburg.

She lived in Shullsburg until her marriage to Paul Prine on Aug. 27, 1953, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg.

Rosemary worked as a housekeeper for a number of families in the Darlington and Shullsburg area. She packaged cheese at Grande Cheese Co. in Darlington for a number of years and later helped serve lunch at Holy Rosary School. Rosemary then went back to housekeeping for a short time and also helped clean Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington and its Council of Catholic Women.

Surviving are her husband, Paul, at home; three children, Eugene Prine, of Capron, Ill., Joseph (Barbara) Prine, of Mazomanie, and Pauline (George) Mick, of Waupun; six grandchildren, J.J. Prine, JoAnna Riha, Mary Rose Bailey and Katie Rose Schoenherr and Travis and Tyler Mick; six great-grandchildren, Janessa, Jaylyn and Jaycie Riha, Isaac Schoenherr and Eva and Charlotte Bailey; four brothers, John (Judy) Gleason, Mike (Darline) Gleason, Bernard Gleason and Joseph (Maritta) Gleason, all of Shullsburg; four sisters, Catherine Weiskircher and Donna Weiderholt, both of Shullsburg, and Adeline Graham and Betty Gratz, both of Darlington; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
