Jeanette Margie Onger
(March 13, 1933 - April 9, 2012)
Jeanette Margie Onger, the daughter of the late Quinton and Marjie (McCain) Monjeau, was born on March 13, 1933, at St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended school and grew to womanhood there and was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.
On May 20, 1956, Jeanette was united in marriage to Wallace C. Onger at St. Paul. The couple lived and farmed in Lincoln Township of Marshall County, east of Strandquist, with the exception of four years spent at St. Paul.
Wally passed away February 1, 1998, and Jeanette continued to enjoy her life on the farm. She had been in poor health in later years and passed away at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota, on Monday morning, April 9, 2012, at the age of 79 years and 26 days.
She is survived by one daughter, one son, 2 grandsons, 4 great-grandchildren; in addition to several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother: Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Karlstad Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Mark Hanson officiating. Interment will be in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery at Strandquist next to her husband, Wally.
Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Thur. at our Karlstad Chapel with a 7 P.M. prayer service and at the church one hour prior to services Fri. morning.
