Jimmie was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Seneca, to Glen and Gail (Watters) Lawson. He grew up in Neosho, and attended high school in Seneca. Jimmie loved to travel and also lived in Santa Fe, N.M., Miami, Okla., and Madison, Wis. His family was very important to him and he cared for his ailing mother until her death in 2006.

He is survived by his father, Glen and stepmother, Joan, Seneca; his son, Mark Allen Lawson (Reanna), Webb City; a granddaughter; and a grandson. Jimmie will also be missed by his surviving sisters, Nancy Montoya (Ben), Rio Rancho, N.M., Judy Childers (Christina), Madison, Wis., Pamela Tennant, Carl Junction, Mo., Deana Lawson, Seneca, Susan Lawson (Kenny), Canton, Ohio, and Jayleen Rogers (Matt), Harrisonville, Mo.
