Born Helena Dolore Fydryk, name Americanized by census takers. She was the mother of 10, 6 of whom survived infancy. She taught and coached swimming at Our Lady of Mercy High School, in Farmington, Mi.. Also coached Catholic Central High boys swim team. She was very generous of nature, and would go on vaction to Mexico, and when she returned home, would send care packages to the children she met there. The Our Lady of Mercy High School pool was renamed "The DeLoris Yager Natatorium", in her honor when she retired. She retired due to being diagnosed with terminal cancer. She is survived by her husband Ralph, her children, James, Janis, Ralph, Pamela, and Maureen. She was predeceased by her parents John and Julia (nee Stanczyk) Frederick; her son Mark and an infant in Mar 1947, and triplet stillborn infants Apr 1958; and siblings Stella Camp and John Frederick, Jr.
