Mr. Giesick died April 18, 1997, at Wyoming Medical Center. He was born April 4, 1904, on an ocean liner while crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Russia, the son of George and Mary (Lutz) Giesick. He served in the U.S. Army.
On March 30, 1950, he married Allice Busby in Casper. She preceded him in death on January 22, 1968.
Mr. Giesick worked for a time for Dr. Stuckenhoff on the Brooks Ranch, and also as a laborer in the AFL-CIO. He retired in 1971.
He was a member of the American Legion and Loyal Order of the Moose. He was an avid gardener and canned his own fresh vegetables. Mr. Giesick was known as an excellent cook and storyteller.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Esther Clark and Edith Gammel.
Survivors include three sisters. Katherine Perry of Mission, Texas, Elvina Stoddard of Denver, and Clara Dunn of Oroville, California and several nieces and nephews.
