He was born July 15, 1976, in Rowan County to Charles and Barbara Wallace Black of Knapp Avenue, Morehead. A junior at Rowan County Senior High School, he attended the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert Matthew Black and Dallas Ray Black; a half brother, John David Donathan of Morehead; a sister Rebecca Lynn Black of Morehead; his paternal grandmother, Ada Knipp Black of Farmers, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services were scheduled for today, Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Lane-Stucky Funeral Home with Bishop Eugene Norden officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Cemetery at Sharkey.
Pallbearers are Gus Black, Andy Mynhier, Lloyd Wallace, Randall Black, Kim Black, James Wallace, William Wallace and Sam Lance.
