Mary Jane Chandler, 82, of Paintsville died Sunday, April 1 in the Paintsville Hospital following an illness of three weeks.
She was affiliated with the First Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Hayden and Nancy Emily Green Hamilton.
Immediate survivors include two sons, Escom Chandler of Paintsville and James F. Chandler of Coral Springs,FL, two daughters, Mrs. Mearle Trippe of Sea Grit,NJ and Mrs. Emily Lyon of Stambaugh and four brothers, Harry T. Hamilton of Ashland, Charles P. Hamilton of Keaton, Lloyd Hamilton of Paintsville, and Hargis Hamilton of Paintsville.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles Milam on Tuesday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church.Burial followed in the Mayo Cemetery at Paintsville under direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Johnny Porter, Joe Porter, James W. Lyon, Richard Trippe, Richard Shasto, Granville Joseph, Ford Hamilton, and John E. Chandler.
Honorary pallbearers were directors of Citizen National Bank, Henry Lyon and the deacons of the First Baptist Church.
