James (Jim) P. York, Jr., 80, of Buford, died February 6, 2010.
He was preceded in death by father and mother, James P. York and Zonia York, and son, James P. York III. Jim is survived by his wife, Dee York of Buford, sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Diane York of Dallas,TX, Keith and Ruth York of Boise, ID, and Kevin York of Buford, and sister, Eddie Ruth Lovell of Raleigh, NC, as well as 6 Grandchildren.
Jim enjoyed a full life of hunting, fishing, sailing, raising his children and traveling. Nephew of Sergeant Alvin C. York, he himself was a Sergeant in the Air Force in Korea and Japan.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11th, from 6-8pm and on Friday, from 12-1pm at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, Feb 12th, at 1pm at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel. Entombment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park.
